R.I.P. Beloved Teena Marie

Teena Marie has passed and am coming out of shock about the news now.

As you all know, she is one of my favorites.  Words cannot describe the sadness I feel right now.  I am reposting Video we took at concert at L.A. County Fair this summer.  She was only 54!!!  Live each moment to the fullest, Family.

Just when you think I review current, independent worldwide house music, today’s Jewel is fellow Saint Louis native, Clark Terry.  Happy birthday, Mr. Terry, who was born December 14 in St. Louis, Missouri--90 years ago!  I wonder how old he was when he did this with Count Basie’s band?  What a treat to be able to watch Count Basie at my desk before beginning my transcribing for the day.  What a great song and presence!  I am so excited to be able to share this with you.  There are so many positives about these-here modern times that magic unfolds with the click of a mouse.  We salute you, Clark Terry, a Living Legend!

Just don't know what to talk about first. Listening to Funk Sanctum Radio, and the dj Spinna remix of Shaun Escoffery's "Days Like This," played sending me on a hunt for videos of Mr. Escoffery. I can hardly sit in my chair because I am so very excited to share this video with you. I don't remember ever seeing this video, have you? Well, let me know what you think about Shaun Escoffery's voice. He is one of my personal favorites.

Grinding away at work counting down the hours until free again!  Happy days are here again.  It is unbelievable what we went through yesterday.  Pearl, our dog, was sprayed directly in eyes and face by a skunk yesterday morning.  What is the main thing you want to remember if your dog is skunked?  Do not let them in the house.  I know that now and am sharing it for you file in your memory,  just in case you ever need this information!

First, I want to talk about King Street Sounds' "Finest NY House in 2010" as I loved "Finest NY House from 2009."  It is playing right now while typing this with my head bobbing and foot tapping.  So what, you say?  Well, I just happen to be at work and am supposed to be listening to dictation from some defense attorney in my headphones, not the finest dance music on the planet as presented by dj Goddessa of Funk Sanctum Radio!!!  :)  Oh, click and you could be right here with us:
