Do you know Brandee Younger? She is a classically trained harpista who is tackling some difficult songs by Alice and John Coltrane. I am very impressed and moved with her abilities.
This song, "He Has A Name (Awareness)" is available for download now:
Then, after you have named your price and downloaded the lovely song, check her out here at a live concert:

Video: Hooded Oriole In Backyard
Welcome,
This video was shot of my neighbor's backyard of one of the most beautiful birds I have ever seen, a Hooded Oriole. He's big and loud and waited for me to find the camera, come back and start rolling:

Sun Ra -- First to Play MiniMoog
Have to give a shout-out to my all-time, absolute favorite on the Moog Synthesizer, Sun Ra as today is Robert Moog's birthday and all. Happy birthday, Robert Moog (1934-2005), the inventor of the Moog Synthesizer. Love to Mr. Ra and every one of his beloved Arkestra members, past, present and future. Not many of my friends were into Sun Ra in the 1970s. Are you ready for him now?

Happy Funky #FollowFriday, Family,
Very busy week, still alive and well and employed, thank God! Managed to sneak a peek at this year's winners of the Doodle 4 Google contest and since I love Google doodles decided to give the winner of this year's contest, Dylan Hoffman's doodle, "Pirate Times," his very own post:

Sprint PictureMail and Stiple test
This is a test of how this photo of art I love hanging in one of my favorite restaurants, Ports 'o Call, in San Pedro, California. With this post also I am documenting implementing Stiple on this blog. It was difficult to install, but seems to be assisting in labeling properly.

Minimal Rockets, "It's The Kiss"
Wow, two "Jewels" in one day! Love this one, too!
Minimal Rockets -- "It's The Kiss"
Minimal Rockets -- "It's The Kiss"
"Cluck Old Hen" -- Classic 1800's W. Virginia Song Now Reworked by Jason Klein of Monster Taxi
Another "Jewel" arrived in my "In-Box" from Jason Klein of Monster Taxi. Jason says it is different for him. He took a classic song from West Virginia in the 1800's and did his electro hip-hop magic. This song is different for me, too, but I think it is funky, interesting and well worth a listen and purchase! (No free download on this one.)

Rey & Louis: No Llores Por Mi Version Oficial Remix
I am so excited that Rey & Louis sent to me all the way from Venezuela via Naymz (which I rarely use) their tune on SoundCloud. Great song, so then found them on YouTube. Loving their energy and the video will help enliven your day!

Bev Lee Harling "Private Life Of A Puppet" -- Free Download
Happy Funky #FollowFriday:
Maybe one of the reasons I love this tune so much is the typing in the background. That's what I do for a living!!! I have always said (and a few others) that my typing sounds like jazz:

Mavis brought tears to my eyes this morning, so I am obviously not at "that Place." Take me there, Mavis. Good God. God Almighty, Good God. I want to go:
